The Process

Prep Work

This workshop came to me with about a week to prepare. I knew who the client was and that the goal of the workshop was to have some actionable insights by the end. I began by researching the company’s website - this included going though every webpage to understand their products and services and then cross-referencing that with the team I knew I’d be interacting with plus whatever I could find on Linkedin. Additionally I leveraged Chat GPT to understand the industry space better. Asking questions about existing known technology and ideas for solutions. I wanted to enter this meeting ready to run so I also had a robust workshop template ready to go.

The Workshop

This workshop was about exploration and creating a safe space for everyone to share ideas. I was able to align everyone in the room within the first few moments of the context and outcomes we were looking for by utlizing the eco-system map and workshop framework.
As a group we identified:

  • Current Pain Points

    • Internal Users

    • Patients

    • Healthcare Providers

  • Opportunities for improvement

    • People Processes

    • System Processes

    • How AI supports both

  • Outcomes desired (short and long-term)

    • North Star

    • How to incrementally make change

By the conclusion of the workshop we had everything listed above identified and clear next steps for product exploration. With such an impactful outcome I feel honored to have led this workshop with such a great group - this was a moment of truly using design for good.
